Introduce us to your blog… www.curvywordy.com
What made you decide to start blogging?
I wanted to share my experiences of shopping for my extreme hourglass figure in the hope that it might help others with similar proportions to me.
What’s your biggest achievement in the blogosphere?
Gosh, that’s a tough one. I am so proud of many things: meeting Gok Wan, reaching over 350,000 page views, having over 1,000 Twitter followers, making a ton of lovely new friends through blogging… I don’t think I could pick just one as a highlight as it’s all been such a wonderful experience. Long may it continue!
Where do you look for inspiration when writing posts?
I don’t need to look for inspiration for my posts. I tend to write reviews of items rather than style pieces so it’s quite straightforward: does it fit or not?!
Is blogging your day job or do you have another occupation?
Blogging is not my day job but I would love it if somehow it could be!
Any favourite blogs/bloggers?
I adore Fuller Figure Fuller Bust. Georgina has such a great sense of style and to top it off she is a lovely person in real life. I feel so fortunate to be able to count her as a close friend.
Tell us about your style…
I tend to dress fairly smartly and go for classic pieces that I can easily dress up or down. Stretch jersey is my friend as it means I can size down to fit my waist but the garment will still fit my bust/hips.
What’s the one piece in your wardrobe you couldn’t live without?
My lingerie! I love my Ewa Michalak bras – they are simply amazing and give my 30KK breasts the most wonderful shape, support and uplift.
Who are your style icons?
I don’t really have any style icons and tend to follow my own lead regarding how I dress.
Share a style tip with us…
Never be afraid to try things on when shopping. Even if you think it won’t suit you, give it a try as you might be pleasantly surprised.
How would you describe our style?
I love M&Co. There is something for everyone, from young fashionistas to more mature ladies. I often visit M&Co with my mum and it’s one of those rare places where we can both find things we like. I am also very impressed with your plus sized range as this is an area that often gets overlooked by retailers.
What’s your favourite piece from our current collections?
It’s impossible to pick just two but I do love a polka dot so these are my firm favourites at the moment:
Do you prefer to shop online or in-store and why?
I like both. Unfortunately I don’t live particularly close to an M&Co store so I often have to shop online instead but I do like to be able to spend time browsing in-store when I can. Online shopping is so convenient though – there’s something wonderful about buying a pretty dress at 11pm from the comfort of your sofa!
