It is that time of year again when we all go weak at the knees for all things floral. From bold to subtle prints, we cannot get enough of floral in our wardrobes and it is all thanks to the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Having already been graced by the Queen, thousands of visitors are set to flood through the gates to see the colourful spectacular from new and returning exhibitors. With inspiration being drawn from around the world, it is only right that the fashion industry had to get involved. Thanks to high fashion brand, Gucci, the fashion industry stole the show by being awarded the events Silver-Gilt medal for their ‘Flora’ garden that was inspired by the brands iconic floral motif from 1966. Now that’s what we call a triumph for the fashion industry!
With the event running until May 24th, what better way to celebrate than adding a hint (or an explosion) of floral into your summer wardrobe. From dresses to jackets and even accessories, there is a piece to suit everyone. Year after year, florals arrive in-store in a variety of patterns and colours, and year after year we flock to them for summer. What is our obsession with the feminine print? After looking at our latest pieces from our new collection, we definitely understand as we have fallen for them all over again.
The traditional floral item to have graced everyone’s wardrobe over the years is the summer dress. From shifts to maxi’s, what style do you choose?
It is not a summer wedding without a sea of floral prints and textures and we think this Boutique jacket would look great over any dress. Why not try and mix textures? We think these jacquard print trousers make the ultimate partner for the pastel floral print as their texture compliments the prints subtle colouring. Plus, it could dress up any daytime look by teaming it with a pair of denim. The fact that you can wear it on multiple occasions makes it a winner in our books.
The Chelsea Flower Show has inspired our summer wardrobes once again, has it inspired yours?
