Who are you and what do you do at M&Co?
Hi, my names Nicole McCormack and I am the Womenswear Product Assistant.
How did you land a job with M&Co?
I recently graduated from Glasgow Caledonian with a BA Honours Degree (1st Class) in Media & Communication. Throughout my studies I gained both ecommerce and retail experience through working for River Island for 9 years and from securing a graduate role with The Pokey Hat.com as their Marketing and PR Coordinator. This led me to apply for my dream role within the web team at M&Co and here I am today. I’m so excited to attend my first photo-shoot in the next coming week.
Favourite part of your job?
I love outfit building for our website, it really makes the products come to life when you see them teamed with accessories, shoes and jackets etc.
What’s the one item you can’t live without and why?
Lipstick – it has to be MAC.
You’re stranded on a desert island and can only listen to one song forever and ever. What is it?
I am obsessed with Cheryl Cole – mainly because she is a mega hottie!! So I am loving her new song, Crazy Stupid Love, it’s so catchy. You can’t beat a cheesy tune!!
Chocolate or crisps?
Crisps (Ideally both together though!!!)
Flats or heels?
I love both!
Tea or coffee?
Tea, although I can be quite partial to a caramel latte..
Magazines or books?
A passion fruit sling or any kind of Daiquiri, can’t say I’m that fussy when it comes to alcohol J
Ultimate holiday destination?
Next on the bucket list is either Bali or Cambodia… Let the saving commence.
Who are your style icons?
Cheryl Cole, Jessica Alba and of course, Kate Moss
The most embarrassing thing you’ve ever worn is…
I had a gold name chain as a teenager – not just any name chain though… an Eeyore one (Cringe!!!) I also had a gold star bangle and the ring to match with twists. Thank goodness I have left my ned-esque look far, far behind.
What are you wearing today?
I have a black tiger print shift dress on with a lime green trim, a statement necklace, black pumps and a black leather biker jacket.
And the one item you’ll be buying from the current collection?
For summer it has to be the Tropical Print Kimono – which will be perfect for the summer holiday I’ve yet to book up …
