Last week the nation celebrated Jeans for Genes day, as people all over the country slipped on their favourite pair of jeans and donated towards Genetic Disorders UK.
At M&Co we asked some of our favourite bloggers to tell us how they would style their best pair of jeans.
Chrissie, a writer for Visit Cleveley’s, took a trip to the seaside to show off her jeans.
“I teamed my jeans with a pink and black top, pink cardigan and black shoes. We took these pictures on the beach (very handy living on the sea front) on a beautiful hot day.
I felt a bit conspicuous dressed up in warmer clothes when everybody else was half undressed and laid out like lettuces sunbathing!”
Jennifer from Glasgow Fashion Girl told us why she loves dark skinnies.
My favourite way to wear them is with lots of crazy, bright colours and prints – I love ‘80s style. Everyone needs an amazing pair of jeans in their wardrobe!”
Chloe from Candidly Chloe also favours dark skinnies and gave us a few styling tips.
“Black skinny jeans are a huge staple for me – you can dress them up with heels, or rock them with a pair of your favourite pumps and still have the ability to look super chic.
Here are a couple of my go-to tips when styling a good pair of skinnies:
- Why not roll up the end of your jeans to revamp the look of your skinnies?
- I love styling mine with a Chelsea boot in winter, and a pair of loafers or pumps in the warmer months.
- Skinny jeans have the ability to lengthen even the shortest of legs so to round off that day to night look, match them with a light skin coloured pair of heels to give you a few more inches.”
Lauren from Britton Loves gave us some advice for styling dark jeans from day to night time.
“Dark jeans are so easy to dress up or down, day to night. By day, you can throw on a tee and some casual shoes for shopping and lunch with the girls, but by night you can experiment with so many styles whilst keeping a casual edge to your look.
For a look you have time to think about, a sleek heeled sandal with a long sleeved black top is a simple go to – play with the texture of your top by incorporating lace, velvet or silk and add some simple, delicate accessories.”
Louise from The Little Things explained why high waisted are her number one choice.
“These are by far the comfiest jeans I have had in a long time. You can’t tell in this outfit, but they’re actually high waisted ones and are really flattering to wear. I’ve paired these with a blouse, a patterned jacket and some pumps.”
We think these styles looks great, do you have a favourite? Check out our range of jeans on the M&Co site here.
