Say hello to our brand new feature…

For the first time ever we have handed over the control of our weekly Editor’s Choice feature to a super stylish fashion blogger. The blogger we collaborated with you ask? The lovely Helen from Coco Mama Style.

Helen explains why you need every one of these items in your winter wardrobe:

1. Faux Fur Tippet

Faux fur is everywhere this season and the easiest way to wear it is with an accessory.  A tippet will keep you cosy and this teal shade will look seriously sleek with a black coat.

2. Jacquard Prom Skirt

This skirt shows you don’t have to go for the classic red at Christmas to make a statement.  With a skirt this stunning you can keep your top half simple (perhaps that black roll neck!) and just add simple silver accessories.

3. Faux Fur Gilet

I’m coveting this faux fur gilet for its high neck to keep off the chill and light grey shade which will really pop against an all-black outfit on a grey winter day.

4. Ponyskin Bag

With all those festive gatherings we’ll need a double-duty bag that’s elegant enough for evening and practical for day time with room for all those Christmas cards that need delivering or spare heels for night time!  This pony-skin doctor’s bag ticks all the boxes.

5. Jacquard Trousers

Jacquard brings a dressy update to the classic black trouser and these make a great alternative to a dress for New Year’s Eve.  Add an embellished knit or roll neck and statement necklace.

6. Jewelled Necklace

If there is ever a time to add sparkle at any opportunity, December is it.  Don’t be afraid to wear this in the day time, it will bring a festive finish to even the simplest of jumper and jeans look.

7. Filigree Ring

Don’t forget your accessories, a stand-out ring can really complete a look and just like a glittering necklace it dresses up the simplest outfit.

8. Snowflake Jumper

Everyone needs a classic Christmas jumper and you don’t have to go for all-out cheese.  This snowflake knit would easily fit into your existing winter wardrobe and work  beyond Christmas Day itself.

9. Roll neck

It’s a classic; the roll neck will take you from work to weekend and day to night with the addition of a few simple accessories.

10. Floppy Hat

This grey hat will keep you warm and hide a bad hair day all while finishing your look with a stylish edge. Functional and chic, what’s not to love?
