Summer wedding season is well underway so we asked four of our favourite fashion bloggers to inspire us with their wedding guest style.
We love how they’ve styled our summer pieces into perfect wedding guest outfits – whose style do you love most?
Floral print prom dress
“By incorporating so many different colours within the pattern, I wasn’t limited in my choice of accessories and shoes.
The dress has its own belt which I tied at the side in a bow, but you could easily change up this belt if you wanted a less formal look.”
Gemma from Fat Frocks says this dress ticks all her boxes when it comes to dressing for a wedding.
“It’s a shape I’m comfortable in, there are so many shift dresses around at the moment and they don’t suit me at all.
It’s got the perfect summery print and colours and has a demure neckline and hemline so it’s great for a church wedding.
I won’t be tugging and adjusting it all day because it fits like a glove.”
- Flash the flesh! Not in a Pretty Woman kinda way, obviously! But go for a strappy style or simple bandeau neckline, get your arms or legs out to avoid looking too sombre.
- Add a tan. Black looks great with a tan in summer! Super chic!
- Add some glamour with your accessories!
Samio from Samio.co.uk also picked the black jumpsuit, as it is a simple piece that can be worn more than once. Styling it in the right way can easily make it wedding-worthy.
“I’d say the key is to liven up your outfit with brighter accessories and avoid black shoes/accessories if possible.
Remember you’re not going to a funeral and if it looks like you could be, change it!”
