The Wee Hurrie
Now you can’t visit the Scottish seaside without enjoying an award-winning portion of fish and chips. Perfect for a post golf treat, The Wee Hurrie in Troon is certainly the place to go for a fish supper.
Located on Harbour Road, The Wee Hurrie offers a fantastic selection of freshly-cooked seafood. From traditional fish and chips to squid tempura and grilled lobster, there’s something for everyone. If it’s a nice day, take your food outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Troon Harbour.
A stunning bar and restaurant located by the marina, Scotts looks out towards the picturesque Isle of Arran. Renowned for its delicious menu, which is filled to the brim with fresh, local ingredients, there is something at Scotts for all tastes to enjoy.
In summertime, we suggest you book a table on the terrace and enjoy a cocktail or coffee in the sun. The restaurant is open seven days a week so it’s ideal for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Curved in a bay, Troon Beach runs for over a mile, from Royal Troon Golf Club to beyond the town centre. Complemented by a long stretch of esplanade, the beach is a popular tourist spot and will be filled with holidaymakers and locals alike. You might even see the addition of a few windsurfers throughout the year too.
Head down to Troon Cross and play in the park with the kids or stand in line for the snack bar and enjoy an ice cream by the sea. With plenty of other bars and restaurants located close by, you certainly won’t be short of things to do.
Synonymous with the game of golf, Troon is home to the world famous Royal Troon Golf Club. Boasting two 18 hole courses, Royal Troon is renowned for championship golf and is a haven for golf lovers everywhere. Situated at the southern end of a beautiful stretch of coastline, the course has been played on for over 138 years.
Teeing off on 10th July, The Open 2016 will take place on Royal Troon Golf Course for seven days. Around that time, spectators and players from all over the world will unite to celebrate and partake in the occasion.
